What happens after I book with you? We send you a campervan confirmation; you will then deal directly with the campervan company.

Can we freedom camp in our campervan? Yes, so long as there are no clear signs saying otherwise, then it should be okay. Never be afraid to ask at a nearby house. You might get to spend some time meeting some interesting and friendly kiwis. Please remember to take any rubbish for proper disposal later and use public toilets.

How long will the campervan battery last? The campervans/Motorhomes mainly operate off separate 12V battery which is charged by the engine and will power the fridge, water pump and lighting at least overnight. For longer stays is may be advisable to go to a holiday park and plug into 240V. The inbuilt inverter will insure that all 12V functions continue uninterrupted.

Can I pick up the campervan at the airport or hotel? This depends on the campervan company you choose Most campervan companies offer a complimentary transfer service from Auckland & Christchurch Airport and surrounding Airport Hotels, Motels to our depot. All transfer details will appear in your booking confirmation

Do I need to pay a diesel tax on my campervan hire? This depends on the campervan you choose, we will let you know the specific terms and conditions of your campervan hire.

Can I use my own Drivers License? Yes, you can use your standard driver's license or International drivers license to drive any of our campervans.

What days do I pay for? You pay for the day your campervan hire commences and the day you return your campervan regardless of times.

What are the road restrictions? You are insured on all public roads, sealed or unsealed. Specific restrictions include 90 mile beach (North Island), North of Colvlle township (North Island), Skippers canyon near Queenstown (South Island) and above Mt Cook information centre (South Island) Some companies have further restrictions on unsealed roads which will be explained before you set off.

How much fresh water do we have? Amount varies from 15 Litres to 120 Litres depending on the model of campervan you choose. The fresh water tank can be refilled at holiday parks and often a service station when you refuel the campervan.

How old are your campervans? Our campervans range in age from brand new to 10 years old. An extensive service plan ensures maximum reliability for all the operators we choose to represent.

Where are the holiday parks? You can access details of holiday parks from our useful links page. Nearly all suppliers we work with will give you booklets and touring maps giving you details of facilities and locations.

Should we pre book our holiday park sites? It is important at peak times of the year especially from the Christmas period through to the end of the second week of January and also the first two weeks of February. The Magic of your campervan holiday in New Zealand is being able to vary the amount of time you stay in each area. Always remember that your campervan is freedom camping friendly.

Should I pre book the ferry crossing? Recommend at peak times otherwise you may not get the crossing you want and at best fare. Not so important if you are planning an extended stay of over one month or out of peak season (April to October) We recommend http://www.bluebridge.co.nz/bb_fares.htm

Where can I empty the grey water tank and toilet cassette? Dump stations are located at holiday parks. Each operator will provide you with a pamphlet showing the location of dump stations throughout New Zealand.

What is a safe speed to travel in our Campervan ? The open road speed limit in New Zealand is 100km per hour. All our campervans will comfortably travel at this speed. Should you choose to travel at a slower speed, please show courtesy to other road users by allowing them to pass. What happens if my campervan breaks down or needs minor repairs. All campervans are covered by the Automobile Association (AA) 24 hour roadside assistance service

I have submitted my booking form and credit card - what happens now? Customer service is our number one priority, therefore your request will be processed as quickly as possible, preferably within 24 hours of receiving your booking. If a campervan is available for the dates you specified, your booking will be finalised and your credit card will be charged a 15 percent deposit. If you wish to cancel your booking after this, you will incur a cancellation fee (please refer to our secure payments page for conditions). If a campervan is not available, we will contact you with a suitable alternative and no payment will be incurred.

What is your campervan Reservation Policy? No campervan reservation will be accepted or guaranteed without a part payment of hire cost made via a valid credit card number, cardholders name and card expiry date to be supplied at the time the reservation is made.

How can I amend or cancel my booking? Should you wish to amend or cancel your existing booking, please contact us as soon as possible. Simply go to the Contact Us page which provides many options for contacting us, or email. Please ensure you quote your confirmation number and one of our reservation consultants will get back to you as quickly as possible.

Why do I have to include my credit card number? To allow us to proceed with your booking request, we require you to submit your credit card details for part payment of hire cost so we can secure your booking. Your credit card information is strictly confidential.

Is it safe to use my credit card? Yes. We treat the security of our guest's information very seriously. To ensure your security, all credit card transactions are secured by SSL, which encrypts the credit card number so as to make it unavailable to any other party.

Which credit card and debit card types do you accept? We accept Visa, Master Card and Amex. What currency will my Credit Card be charged? New Zealand banking laws require that all credit card transactions be charged in New Zealand currency.
